Uit de Buurtfabriek realized a nice upcycle custom project for Kuijpers to contribute to the renovation and sustainability of the Eindhoven City Hall. Old fluorescent fixtures were attractively upholstered and fitted with LED lamps so they could be reused in the building.
Designer Fanny Griveau designed various lampshades made of wood, and the Uit de Buurtfabriek team built a total of 20 pieces that now hang on all floors of the City Hall. Wood even gives fluorescent lighting a warm and atmospheric effect. Uit de Buurtfabriek also sells wooden lamps from its design collection. Thanks to Kuijpers for this particular assignment on sustainability and upcycling for the Municipality of Eindhoven.
